In Colleton County, two homes suffered damage in separate fires on Sunday.
Colleton Fire-Rescue was called to an address in Jonesville shortly after 10 am on Sunday by a neighbour who saw smoke coming from the home located at Ground Circle.
The firefighter located a mobile home that was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters said that a fire in the kitchen spread to the attic, and then across the side of the house.
The fire was contained to the attic and kitchen.
Firefighters said that the inside of the house had suffered moderate water and smoke damage, but the majority of family belongings was saved.
Around 4 pm on Sunday, crews were called to Edgewood Street for a mobile home that was engulfed in smoke and fire.
The fire was first located on Hampton Street, but the firefighters were able to locate it several blocks further away.
The firefighter said that the house had been severely damaged and it may have begun in the living area.
The fires did not cause any injuries and neither home was occupied at the time.
