Last week, authorities arrested a man suspected of robbing a bank in Inver Grove Heights.
Wells Fargo, located just off Buchanan Trail in Inver Grove Heights, was robbed just before 5 p.m. on Friday.
Officers searched for the suspect, but he was not found after fleeing the scene before they arrived.
According to the department, investigators located evidence that led them to Joshua Richard-Wallace Johnson, 22. Officers searched a home and arrested Johnson.
The search turned up evidence directly related to the bank robbery, including money.
As of Tuesday morning, Johnson had not been formally charged and is being held at the Dakota County jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
As a result of the swift and efficient development of a strategic response plan by our investigations and strategic response team, the suspect was apprehended and the investigation was successfully resolved, along with the recovery of the stolen funds, Inver Grove Heights Police Chief Melissa Chiodo said.
During the robbery, no one was injured, according to the department.
