Using social media, a man revealed he discovered an entire house hidden inside his attic and has drawn up plans for what he wants to do with it
He explained he was exploring his new home when he decided to venture into the attic to see how big it was. He was left speechless after discovering a creepy house hidden behind a false wall.
In the process, he discovered a crawl space that was no more than two metres high. After seeing a small gap in the ceiling, he decided to see what was on the other side, expecting nothing more than the backs of his roofing tiles on the other side. Sadly, that wasn’t the case.
The man discovered the hidden house about three years ago, but only recently ventured upstairs to explore it. “There’s a house inside my attic,” he told Reddit.
“Finally got some good shots, just as creepy as I remembered.” he added.
A hidden house appears to have a living room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom.
There are still a few pieces of furniture and personal items inside, though it is mostly empty.
His house began as a shop, then became a church, then a family home.
The building was once a store where the owners lived upstairs. It was turned into a church; I’m guessing the church owners didn’t want to knock it down so they built around it.
Over the floor boards of the house, insulation was laid.
What’s more interesting is the floor to the attic – it’s not studs with insulation between them, but a hardwood floor covering the entire attic with insulation on top.
There is junk, an old cabinet, a tire, a hat, a toilet, and sink [inside]. There is dirt, lots of dirt, and spiders.
It’s like it’s frozen in time up there. I saw some newspaper pieces. I’ll collect them and see if I can get a year off it.”
While some users urged him to “sell the property” before the ghosts appeared, he says he plans to transform the hidden house into an extra living area.
I can literally double my living space if I clean out the insulation and the other house,” he said.
“It’s like the previous owners kept children up there for a while. You didn’t find any scrolls or ritual figurines up there, did you?” one user commented.
“Does Pennywise live there?” joked another user.
The man replied: “I’d guess Satan lives up there since it was over 100F.”
According to a third user: “It’s incredible you didn’t get killed when you checked out the house in your attic. Don’t risk it by checking out the attic of that house.”.
You can burn it down, sell the property to a young yuppie couple, and move across the country.
“The only way to survive a horror movie is to be the couple at the beginning who dump the haunted whatever on the protagonists.”
